I WISH for this to be a little better for mom.
My mom is the mother of three and she doesn't really joke around
with us like she use to. My dad works every hour he can get, if he
is not working then he's trying to get some sleep to go back to
work. I miss when they would joke with us and play games. You can
tell when you look at my mom that her mind is far away thinking of
how she is going to put food on the table And keep the utilities
on.
It's always been my mom helping other people and now I watch as she struggles to pay what she can and keep food in the house for us kids and I just thought that maybe if I asked for a little help with things, I could find an Angel. I hate when she says at dinner time that she's not hungrey because I know that it means there is not enough and thats her way of not making us feel bad. Things have been so hard that for the first time in our lives she did not put up a Christmas tree because she had nothing to put under it this time.
Muy mom lost her father in 2004 due to a massive stroke, then she lost her mother in 2006 due to mersa, her father-in-law in 2007 and then her step-father committed suicide just this past summer. My mom had went back to work after an operation. After my step grandfather passed away she lost her job (not being able to find another one) now worries all the time if there's going to be a knock on the door with someone wanting to shut something off. It happened yesterday. Mom found a note on the door yesterday morning from the sewerage authority, they will be out to shut it down on January 21 2009. She has already sold everything she could on craigslist but the bills are overwhelming and putting food on the table seems to get harder every week.
If anyone could help us it would be so very much appreciated and I am sure it would take so much stress off of our mother. We love her so much.

May blessings rain down upon your family. Have you tried posting to your local freecycle requesting assistance with food? Do you have a MIFA? There are several organizations that can help. Please PM me and I can give direction to you....I have been in this boat lately as well.
