I am a single mother of four little girls and I was diagnosed with
hepatitis C this past July. I am suppose to start my treatments on
Janurary 8th. But I dont know how I can afford to pay for them. The
shot cost about 1500.00 a month and the pill is about 500.00 a
month and my insurance will not pay for it. The doctors have told
me that mine is very serious and if I dont start the treatments
then I will die. I dont want to leave my children. My girls mean
the world to me. If anyone out there could send maybe $5.00 to
10.00 then hopefully it will add up to what I need to get my
medicine. Please I am down on my knees begging that their are some
real heroes out there that can help me right now. I dont want to
die. I dont want my kids to be without a mother. I am sitting here
in tears typing this right now. I never thought I would have to do
anything like this before. I thought insurance was suppose to pay
for everything but they wont. I dont know what else to do except
pray that their are some heroes out there that can help me. And
help my kids not to loose their mommy. Thank you for taking the
time to read this. God Bless each and everyone of you.

There are different drug manufacturer's for Hep-C medications. You can go on the manufacturer's website and then offer drug assitance. Sometimes, you can even get the medication for free. It is definitely something worth looking into. Even ask your physician.

Please contact me through PM & send me your name and your doctors name and I will see what I can do to try and help. I am not in good financial shape but I will see if I can find out what can be done.

first off we don't know if this person qualifies for medicaid. The program goes by your income. Second off you have no right to offer a grant if you have nothing to offer except negativity. so srry this person has been negative to you

Please go to searchclinicaltrials.org. I just did a search and there are some clinical trials going on right now. Also, you might want to lask your doctor about the herb Milk Thistle. In Germany, they use it extensively. The extract called Silymarin is not expensive. Right now for example at Puritans pride you buy one you get one bottle for free.

also, the treatment i did cost $30,000, i never had to pay a penny. i even made $100, twice just for visits to my docs and allowing them to do a timed blood study, i spent the morning but they had wifi and even had a "brunch" delivered. i will start checking your area for docs that specialze in Hep C.

What kind of doc are you seeing? Please find a Gastro doc or even better, an infectious disease doc. The drug companies sponsor clinical trials/studys and they pay for the entire treatment. I also have Hep C, I did a 48 week treatment that was paid for by Roche & Valeant companies. You have to go by the guidelines while on the study, the doc will tell you everything, they also do complete testing before you start the treatment, EKG, chest Xrays, a ton of blood work/labs, even an eye exam, all paid for! there is no "cure" for Hep C, many times the treatment does not work, have you had a liver biopsy? and do you know your Geno Type and viral load? i am not a doctor but i have a huge amount of knowledge about Hep C, just by being proactive and belonging to Hep C forums where you get so much support and shared info.
please message me, i can probabaly help, knowledge is power.

Hep C does not have to be fatal, you just need more facts and a good doc!

I don't know what your insurance is, or what the reason is for non-payment for the medication you need. Has the Dr's office contacted them, to see what drugs they will cover? Maybe they will only pay for a generic drug. Whatever the case someone needs to speak to someone from your insurance. Good Luck and God Bless

I also live in Tenn. and my brother has hep c also. He currently has an iv treatment every 6 weeks and it is helping him. It is paid for in full by tenncare. If you are single and have 4 children then you would also qualify for tenncare because you are considered medically needy because your condition can be life threatening. Please contact your local DHS office for more info on this.

Try contacting the drug companies to see if they can give it to you at a reduced rate.
Good luck!
