I WISH the Gillespie family has enough money to treat their son's cancer.

Gunner Gillespie is a 7yr. old little boy with an inoperable tumor on his brain stem. He has had all the radiation a person can have in a lifetime and there are only experimental drug options now. The family is currently in Arizona at the Envita clinic where the insurance company won't pay since it is not fda approved. Being from Kentucky, they have had to rent a condo, pay for the clinic and go to the whole food stores to purchase food for Gunner as he is to have no sugar or chemicals in his foods that he eats. It is all so expensive and they are constantly running tight on money. If anyone could please help it would be greatly appreciated. An account has been set up.

    Have they tried getting him into St. Jude's Research Hospital? (that's the one you were thinking of, karik61)

    I wish I could think of the name of the hospital. There IS a place that will treat children for free, and I believe does house family. Marlo Thomas runs the charity hospital--you could probably look it up?

    I believe, most states, require children to be treated BY LAW regardles of ability to pay. Research the state and local laws. What about a local Childrens Hospital?

    Oh I so pray for this family. My sisters second tumor was on her brain stem and from the time we learned of it until the time she died was only 2 days. I will pray for a miracle for this family.

    They are worried the tumor has grown some. He was having some symptoms such as slurred speech, dragging one foot, eye's not staying on objects, and so they had upped his steroids again which makes him moody. Also, he was wanting to go home so they have made a trip home so he could see his family and animals. Please visit his web site and pray for him. They need a miracle.
