I WISH For Time Thieves & Misc. Heroes During Donor Recovery

Dearest Heroes:

My journey of life has almost arrived. We are so blessed and grateful beyond words. Yours prayers, kind comments, cards, letters of support have completely over-whelmed me as well as making me totally speechless at times. My husband would tell you this in itself is a Miracle. I have posted dates for my arrival in Houston & our surgery date, however there is a huge change in our schedule we had not anticipated. I need to stay in Houston two weeks longer than anticipated allowing for at least 3-4 weeks Post Op for my protection and well being before being allowed to fly home. We are working with a strict budget, all of our time off is unpaid, as all vacation time has been used. Sadly this journey does not meet Medical Leave for my husband.

I come to you with this wish. For Time Stealers and Help with Misc. Expenses: Puzzle Books, Uno Cards, Hitting the Blockbuster store & Walmart for cheap movies (We are taking some & have a Portable DVD Player, Movies through the hotel are expensive) cheap hand held games, magazines, (I have 3 books I am taking) anything at all to help ease the passing of time as I recover & healing begins. We would be grateful for any assistance with two days of Transfers from the Airport to Hotel. This can be anything, Cab, Metro, Airport Shuttle Bus. (Our hotel does not offer this service) & Baggage Fee's. Anything at all is fine. Walmart Gift Cards, Blockbuster. We are not picky & are so very thankful for you all.

A Full estimate & Accounting Sheet is available for review. I am happy to provide this information to anyone requesting this or WUAH Security for Verification. This is to alleviate any questions or concerns anyone may have regarding our expenses. As always your prayers, kind words & non-judgemental comments are always welcomed and deeply appreciated. Thank you all again, my heart and soul is truly grateful. I know I am not taking this journey alone.

  Thank you Kokothegorilla for the update... What a relief... Tell her the next time you speak to her that we all are glad to hear the good news that everything went great... What an inspiration Shari is to me and my daughter. My daughter wants to get on the registry for organ and tissue donation but I think she is to young. She is only 13, I told her I would look into it. Does anyone know if there is a min age to become a donor?

  UPDATE: Shari was in a lot of pain today; they are going to change her meds to try and make her more comfortable. Renee was doing ok. This information was from her sister Jill. Please continue to pray for her.
