I WISH To be able to have a new silicone prosthetic eye made.

I'm in need of a new prosthetic eye as the one i'm wearing is 25 years old now. I wish I had the funds to make a trip from my home in SC to Memphis, TN to have a new silicone prosthetic eye made. The old acrylic eye is so uncomfortable and no longer matches my real left eye. I've read online about how the new silicone eye feels more like having a real eye. The hard acrylic eye has caused me so many problems with conjunctivitis and eyelid irritation over the last 25 yrs. I'm going thru a divorce and am living alone now on a limited fixed income so the funds to travel to Memphis, TN and ability to pay for the silicone eye are out of the question. I would wish for a real whole eyeball transplant but since that's not medically possible I wish for a new silicone eye that would be much more comfortable to wear and look much more realistic and would move in conjunction with my real eye. Going through losing an eye has had such a negative impact on my self-esteem and not being able to fund the cost of getting a new one is very depressing too. my wish is for a new silicone eye.

  It's hard to put into words the sincere expression of gratitude and feelings of appreciation I have for Joshua Richards, Dave Girgenti, and all the heros who have so generously given to help make my wish become a reality. The last few years of my life have left me feeling so uncared about and as a result my self esteem has taken such a hard blow from all the stress and changes that have occured in my life. The opportunity of getting a new silicone eye is truly a dream come true for me. After almost 26 years of wearing the same hard acrylic eye I had pretty much given up on the hope of ever being able to have a new one. I consider this my early Christmas gift from all of you (my heros) and I couldn't possibly receive a nicer gift than this. I've been blessed by you all and just saying thank you I feel will never be enough. I hope to be able to help others like this in the future and know that the rewards of being able to give back to humanity is a priceless feeling. I'll be heading to M

  I still can't beleive that after all these years I am going to get an new eye! And one made from silicone and not the hard acrylic that has been so uncomfortable and caused me so much irritation and eyelid infections. This is a prayer come true. I thank each and everyone of you for your kindness, genorosity, and especially your prayers and wishes for my dream to come true. This is proof to me that there are some left in this world who still walk with Jesus and follow his actions here today. What a God send and a blessing finding this site has been to me.

  I wanted to let everyone know that i've scheduled the appointment to go to Memphis, TN and let Matt Singer's silicone eye magic begin! I'm so excited and still in awe of everyones kindness, caring, and generosity in helping to make this wish come true for me. I can't thank you all enough. Once the procedure is done I will share pictures of my new eye with everyone. Thank God for placing such kind people like all of you here on earth. You make the world a better place and I am blessed to have found my angels & heros.

  Hello Josh: I received an email from Dave on Monday and he told me that the funds to help me get to Memphis are there. I still can't believe this wish is going to come true for me! Someone needs to pinch me several time and very hard too! I will surely share pictures with all my Wish/Walk heros as soon as I get back from having the eye made. Josh how can I ever thank you all enough for such an act of generous kindness? Could you email me the address for all the foundations who have been so kind and helped me make my wish become a reality. If it's possible i'd also like a list of the names of all who have worked on and put such effort into making my wish come true. I'd like to send a thank you card to all. I will be in touch and let you know when i'm scheduled to go to Memphis and let Matt Singer's eye expertise begin!

  Oh no I didn't realize that they are seperate chapters. Then i'd also like to express my thanks and gratitude to the members of the PA and IL chapters as well! So far I haven't been contacted but am willing to be very patient for this wish to come true. I've been waiting for almost 26 years now to have a "new eye" and am willing to wait as long as it takes to have this wish for a silicone eye come true. I have truly been blessed by God and all the Walk On Heroes angels!

  Hello,
  
  Walk On Heroes and Missouri Chapter are two seperate. Walk On Heroes has members that are located both in PA and IL. Missouri is a state chapter of Wish Upon A Hero and obviously resides in Missouri.
  
  I am so glad we could get this wish granted. Has someone been in contact with you about funding being sent to the doctor to do this procedure. I just want to ensure steps have been taken to move this forward and make it a reality for you.
