  does your shelter recieve damaged bags/cans from local walmart, feed stores, grocerers etc, if not please contact them and ask. our local stores donate any damaged containers you just have to pick them up. also if your local paper will run a press release that the shelter is in need this may help, i know donations are down, its like that at the shelter i volunteer at too. i hope you get lots of donations.

  the address of the shelter can be found by clicking on the link provided above. I know most shelters prefer Canned food that is not generic/store brand/Ol' Roy type. Pedigree, Alpo, Science Diet, Iams, Neura, Natural Choice type foods work best for stressed animals. It's what the person can afford that will determine what kind they buy.
  I sort the donations for my shelter and the one's they always run low on, canned food wise, are Puppy Food Canned and Senior Canned food. Might be worth mixing it up and donating for all ages of pups waiting for homes. :)

  Though I am not able to help financially I would be more than happy to sed some money saving coupons for Dog Food Dogs treats and all things dogs. Please send me the info if you would like these. I know that the Animal Rescue Of Boston accepts coupons so maybe your shelter could use some.
