My name is Kylee and my son is Drew. He is 15 yrs old and was
diagnosed with Autism at age 7. He is a huge basketball plan and
still has dreams of making it into the NBA. We live in a small town
and his classmates total 65. He has been able to play basketball at
our school up until this year. Now that he is a sophmore he will
have to try-out for the team. With his physical delays the coach
does not foresee him making the team. His coach has been very
supportive and being part of a team has helped Drew's confidence.
He has sat the bench every year he's played with the exception of a
few seconds in one or two games a season, and he always has a smile
on his face and cheers on his team. I would love to offer thim this
once in a lifetime opportunity to meet one of his favorite team
players, especially now that he is old enough to remember and enjoy
the experience. His class is taking a trip to New York city this
year and due to his autism and medical issues he cannot go. We are
planning on taking him to see the lakers when they play the pacers
in March at Indianapolis. We are praying that there will be a way
for him to meet a player or the team. If anyone knows any way to
make this happen please let me know. I greatly appreciate it. God
Bless Kylee Bowman
