I am a physically challenged mother of two sons. One is a mentally challenged adult with neurological and cardiological
impairments, the other is a special needs young adult battling with some issues related to genetic Fragile X syndrome and early onset arthritis but trying hard to spread his wings in spite of his challenges. My life partner is a healthy woman who works in our local hometown gas station as a cashier. She is a US Navy Veteran and served during 911. She chose not to renew her military contract so we could live freely and openly as a family.

We are dedicated to the love and care of disabled pets and run a very small private sanctuary for special needs cats and dogs. We get help from an annual Crippled Critter Benefit event from our local 501c4 Organization "Dixie Thunder of Aiken County" where I hold the position of Member and Internet Coordinator.

Dixie Thunder has also built my Wheelchair ramp so now I am able to move between my room, wheelchair friendly office building and kennel with ease.

Our family participates in local and online charity. We regularly attend charity benefit events with Dixie Thunder. Our favorite events are the Back to School supply and Holiday gift benefits for the Helping Hands Shelter for Abused and Neglected Children.

We are also very strong believers in peer to peer giving and sharing and have earned a good local and online reputation for being helpful to those in need.
