An 11 year old boy finds their birthday hero

When a chronically ill mother posted a birthday wish for her 11 year old son Wish Ambassador, capp3736, decided that she would try to do more than just find this young man card and gift heroes... she wanted a PARTY hero! "Junior is very compassionate and goes out of his way to help me with everything.Over the last two years we have sold most everything to make ends meet so he has very little...yet never complains. What he really wants is a little party with a few of his friends at a local entertainment place called Freedom Station. We used to go all the time years ago before I was diagnosed." I WISH for breast prosthesis and mastectomy bra... is what Cha2009 wished for back in late April 2009. Her best friend had a double mastectomy 5 years ago and Cha2009 desperately wanted her best friend to be in her upcoming wedding. Wish Ambassador, Kokothegorilla, came across this wish, being a cancer survivor who also had a double mastectomy she was determined to get this wish granted, even if it meant purchasing the prosthesis and bra herself. Koko contacted the American Cancer Society who donated a free bra and prosthesis! "Thank you again, my best friend looked amazing and I know she has gotten back a lot of her confidence. You will always hold a memory in my heart!", exclaimed Cha2009.

Oklahoma Chapter helps a homeless boy

Wish Upon A Hero is always very proud of all the heroes on the site. We would like to call special attention to the Oklahoma Chapter for helping renovate a mobile home for a homeless boy. Because of the effort and dedication of Danna Malone, the Oklahoma Chapter Director, a run down mobile home has been transformed into a place that an 18 year old can now call home.
