If any company should earn the title CAR TIRE HERO it would be our friends at Discount Tires in Chesterfield Michigan.. You may remember when our hero first arrived on the scene back in March. Member megankegler wished for tires to take her daughter Madison (21 months) to her required Chemotherapy treatments once a week in Detroit. NOW, our hero has come to the rescue NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!
First, Discount Tires helped member ilovemywifejenn who is now pregnant and bed ridden. Due to her condition she can no longer work and her husband had to cut his hours to help with the other children. This didn't leave much extra money for expensive tires. With a little help form Wish Ambassador, Overwhelmedbystress, the dangerously bald tires have now been replace.
Discount Tires second super act of heroism came when member stephmikealysse posted a wish for 4 tires on a Ford Ranger. The new snow made driving quite dangerous on balding tires. Overwehelmedbystress performed another amazing job of getting the tire wish granted.
A special thanks goes out to Discount Tires for caring for our members safety while on the road.
It's time.
For some reason I thought that time would make things easier; but as his body grew to match his 14 years, his physical abilities stayed as a 3 month old's and the amount of care he requires has consumed us.
Our sweet boy is the size of an adult now and we are long overdue for that "Plan B".
It has become a dangerous thing to transfer him from his wheelchair to the car. We take turns straining our backs and have even hurt him with the awkwardness of having to bend his long legs and support the dead weight of his upper body at the same time. And his recent back surgery makes things that much more scary because of the flexibility he has lost.
Hello all you WUAH I come to you all for some nuch needed help..
I got a phone call last night at 8:30 pm that my Uncle had just passed away. I would love to take the family and go but there is one problem, we are tight on funds.. The funeral is in Idaho falls idaho and that is about 7-8 hours from here. we will need about 75.00 in gas and 20 for food at the $ menu at mcdonalds..
I work really hard to keep my house a healthy, safe place to work and play. I have been using those cleaners you probably see on the tv everyday even though they cause me many problems, ie. breathing, numbed tongue, and irritated skin.
to the Celine Dion concert in January 15th in Birmingham. My mom has never been to a concert, and she just loves Celine Dion. Also January 16th is her birthday and she will be 78 and I really am wishing to take her there. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. I would need floor seats, or real close b/c of her arthritis and her walking.
I heard of an 11 year-old boy yesterday whose last wish was to feed the homeless. His name is Brenden Foster and he is from Bothell, WA. Brenden is dying from leukemia. His doctors gave him 2 weeks to live, and he has made it past that. He is expected to pass soon.
When he passed a small tent city near his neighborhood, he said that he wanted to help the homeless people. He said they deserve a chance.
This is a pretty big wish and I don't think it will get granted, but I just wanted to put it out there.
My husband moved me and our four children cross country to live with his parents for his deployment to Iraq.
It turns out that his date was pushed back and now instead of leaving as planned, he won't be leaving until after Christmas.
My 2 year old daughter has cerebral palsy ,asthma, and chronic lung disease and other medical issues. She becomes so congested that we have to go to the ER several times a week to have her suctioned. We tried asking insuarnce for a suction machine but since she has no trach and does not have CF they wont cover one.
My hot water heater started leaking about 3 weeks ago. At first we were boiling water for baths and dishes then the stove messed up(it has a short in it and only one eye works), then my husband bought a piece so that we were atleast able to turn it on long enough to take a shower and do the dishes at night. Well, now it's got another leak and it's flooding the basement out when we turn it on to use hot water!!
I want to work. I need a future. Instead I'm stuck in a mountain town in Arizona that doesn't even have a streetlight. There are no jobs here or even within 20+ miles. All I want to do is have work and a stable future by joining the army. I've come so far but I have a $329 fine out of missouri and no income and that is what is keeping me from making a life for me and my son.
