Wuahfoodangels would like to invite the members of WUAH to our auction forum. All proceeds from auctions will be used to grant wishes each month. We are in need of donations to auction. Our auctions will run from monday to sunday. As of May 2008 we have helped 9 families with food cards. Please help us continue to do this. All help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Wuahfoodangels
My friend's husband returned from the war in Iraq not too long ago, and after serving our country with the US Army in Iraq, he developed severe PTSD, just as so many of our soldiers do.
He is a husband and a father, and he loves his family a lot. His family loves him a lot too. His wife has stuck by his side throughout the whole thing. She has made sure that he has gotten the treatments he needs. However, now he's receiving in-patient care to help him even more.
My name is Jami. I am a wife of a U.S. Army soldier and a mom to a wonderful 6 yr. old. I do web design and graphic art, but I used to be a nurse.
In order to relax as a nurse, I developed a hunger...no, a desire...no, an ADDICTION...to Oregon Chai Tea!!! This addiction of mine has been with me for about 6 years or so.
What would you do if your friends house caught on fire and ruined her chances to goto her senior prom? Obviously you would look for heroes! Please read this wish and do what you can to help. It doesn't even have to be only financial help either. Somewhere there's a hero who has a pair of Prada shoes that they don't wear anymore. Somewhere there's another hero who has a Dolce & Gabbana dress that they can lend out. Who knows, maybe there's a celebrity out there with a full wardrobe. We're talking to you Ali Larter from the TV Show Heroes. Especially since you graduated from the same high school. Heroes and Wish Ambassadors to the resuce!
UPDATE:
It looks like we don't need Ali Larter after all...the member heroes came through!
Wishing can be a complicated process. So to help some of the newer member (and a few of the older ones) we have revised and reorganized the Rules & Netiquette page. We have divided the rules up into four categories: Wish Netiquette, Rules For Wishing, Rules For Offering to Grant, and Technical Rules to easily answer common wishing and granting questions. If you have a question that is not answered directly on the Rules and Netiquette page please feel free to email us at admin@wishuponahero.com.
After krystalynn2003 had ankle surgery and learned she was going to be hopping around on crutches for the next 6 weeks, she became depressed. Then to lose her apartment from not being able to work while trying to care for her 9 month old, she was down-right devestated. So she decided to start moving in a new confortable direction and posted a wish for Cructch Cozies. " I'd love some crutch cozies to make getting around easier for me," said krystalynn2003. That's when Wish Ambassador Fanciegal decided to email and make a few calls. Within days, Crutch Cosies granted krystalynn2003's wish, giving some comfort to a weary mom. Thanks Fanciegal and Crutch Cosies for helping. Kyrstalynn2003 don't give up, heroes care.
