Wish Upon A Hero was built on the premise that everyone can help anyone. No wish too large, no hero too small. Sometimes our smallest heroes grant the biggest wishes. That's what 5 year old Katrina did when she ROCKED OUR WORLD.

This is my wish I would wish for if I would (am making) make if I were asked what would I wish for if I could wish for ANYTHING.

I have been a Bon Jovi fan ALL MY LIFE. I have a scar on my foot from standing in front of the stage at his concert in the 80s where an artery got cut on the top of my foot and I have joked sine the day I had to have stitches at the concert that I hope he can autograph it one day…….silly I know.

My wife was diagnosed with an incurable Liver disease; Primary billiary Cirrhosis or PBC(see link) back in Sept. 07. The disease strikes an estimated 4.5 women and 0.7 men (2.7 cases overall) per 100,000 population. Sadly she was one of them! They said she's had it for 10-15 years (we didn't know it)at that point they said she had aprox.2 years to live WITHOUT transplant. She lost her mom to Liver cancer in 2005:( Only 4 stages to this disease, and my wife's in the last stage & a patient at Nazih Zudi Transplant Institute in OKC. She's being treated w/ URSO FORTE. It is helping a lot. Unfortunately we are uninsured!

I am posting this wish on behalf of another WUAH member that is currently needing our support desperately.

This member is *caroleen* Most of us know she is in the Philippines. A very poor country. She needs our help.

I and her extended family are asking for donations to help this family get food.

Albert's parents came here looking for support when he disappeared in April. Lots of prayers were sent out then, and I am sure that they need support now more than ever.

Originally, I was going to send flowers, but the family asked for donations to be made in Albert's name. Anyone who is interested in making a donation the address is below, or I am posting my paypal, and I will bring it over to the Park Avenue Church in person. 

My daughter's 4th birthday is June 21 (1st day of summer) and all she wants is a bike. She is teenie, tiny for her age and hasn't been big or strong enough to ride a bike until now.

Arielle Rose Estremo (driver of the Nissan, she was crushed to death on impact) born 5.4.1986 died on 5.16.2008; she was 20 years old and from Anaheim, California.

Chauncy Alysse Reid (she was also in the Nissan, she was in the back seat on the passenger side. She was not wearing her seatbelt. She died instantly) born 7.24.1987 died on 5.16.2008 she was 20 years old, she was from Anaheim, California.

I have posted my story about searching for my sister for 30 years & finding her. I was supposed to go see her for Memorial Day weekend, but there was a mess up with my stimulus deposit. It was supposed to be direct deposited on Friday(9th) but I found out that they messed up & instead they are sending it out on May 30th, 3 days after I am supposed to return from my trip.

My paycheck is usually fairly good but with the rain the past few weeks it isn't good enough to keep up with the bills. I have had truck repairs last week, Donna had to get a new tire Tuesday for her van plus the last weekend van repairs that we still owe her daddy $200 of someday.

I really did not want to ask for help for this here and I really do not think I will get help with this. We have a disconnect notice for $433.69. I have been trying to call the two places that 211 gave me to see if I can get help. They are the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities. I call on the specified day and time and dial until I get someone. So far all I have been told is that all slots are filled. Social services cannot help any more. The bill was $783.69 but they paid $350 of it for us.
