The time has come where I need to accept that my life has changed forever. I have progressively moved from walking to wheelchair dependent since October 2007. From February 2008 I have received help to get a scooter, but over time my mobility needs have rapidly changed to the point where in house mobility is becoming a problem.
Dreams really do come true on Wish Upon A Hero.
When member AdmanCEO posted a wish for his son, Connor, to meet pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler he never thought it would come true. But thanks to the generosity of another WUAH member who works in the skateboarding industry, that Wish became a reality last weekend.
Connor and his Dad were VIP guests at the Panasonic Open, held in Baltimore, MD. "It was awesome," exclaimed Connor, "Ryan and handful of other Pros signed my shirt, my skateboard, and I sat next to their families in the Athlete Guest section throughout the two day competition. We even got to stay on the floor of the hotel reserved for the athletes.”
Wish Upon A Hero isn’t just for people in need but also for anyone who dares to dream the impossible.

Coldplay is my absolute favorite group but I missed the date for the presale and now I can not find tickets anywhere for a reasonable price. I have been trying to find an auction but they can go for up to $500 a ticket on them and thats just ridiculous for anyone to pay.
We met in 2002, I did't know that he was on the run from parole & a herion user and meth. When I was preg. with our son he use to beat me. He finally got busted & was out for the birth of our son. Since then he would keep relapsing every couple months - we've lived on the streets to support his addiction, gone without food. He was violated several times after that - and the abuse stopped
We knew the wish by rublest2 for her father, a Pearl Harbor survivor, was a special one. Many of the Wish Ambassadors immediately started working on the wish. Well, today that hard work paid off. The wish receive major press today when it was featured in the Baltimore Sun.
We still have a ways to go to raise enough money to complete this wish, so please help if you can. GO TO WISH.
My town is considered a disaster area due to the flood here, we need some food, diapers and basic nessessities for my house and we also need gas money, can someone or some heros please please help us with monetary donations?
Last night, Manhattan and Chapman, Kansas were hit HARD by TORNADOES! Manhattan is 15 miles from Ft. Riley Army Base, where we live. It is the "home of the K-State Wildcats" and K-State University. Manhattan is a nice, quaint university town. It's where all the shopping and restaurants are for this area. Chapman is 30 miles from us on the other side of town. It's a small town and close-knit community.
When tragedy happens people look for comfort and help from many sources, friends, family, support groups and us, WUAH members. We have been there to support during the most difficult times and this is no exception.
A family needs our help with burial costs for their 16 year old boy who died unexpectedly and suddenly in his home.
Donations are being collected by the WUAH Foundation. For further information and how you can help please read the full story.
Clicking amongst all the other Wish Upon A Hero members operates a special group of people called Wish Ambassadors. Also know as Wish Angels, they facilitate the granting of wishes. There are over 130 Wish Ambassadors on Wish Upon A Hero who spend their days calling businesses, contacting the media, and emailing contacts, all to get a wish granted. They don't help grant wishes for the recognition and many times they don't even get credit at all. They do it because they want to.
We felt the following Wish Ambassador's story was truly amazing and should be told. We would also like to thank the Hero Don Britton of Britton's Don East Ridge Transmission & Total Car Care in Tennessee. Both of you have change someone's life. You have changed the way people think about helping others. Thank you
