Suited for a Hero

January 29, 2009

Next month, Wish member Yakama, a U.S. Military Hero, will be returning home after serving a 15 month tour of duty in Iraq. He has been deployed 3 times and can't wait to get home to be with his beautiful wife of 6 years. His wish is to take his her out for a romantic evening at the Ritz-Carlton. As many of you may know, fancier places require fancier clothes. As with most families in today's economy, money is tight to come by. The amazing people at Men's Wearhouse have sent a brand new suit to make his wish come true! They have also included a $200 gift card for alterations. Thanks to our corporate Hero, Men's Wearhouse, and all of the people who made this wish possible.

The Fastest Heroes on the Planet!

January 21, 2009

There is nothing worse than having a sick child. Many times treatment is required on a regular basis from physicians and hospitals with specific healthcare expertise who are not located locally. Getting to and from this much needed help adds an additional financial burden on families already in an undesirable positions.

We are please to announce the 100mph Heroes Program, the Foundation's newest program. The program was first conceived by Jackson and Rosie Good last March. It was created to help provide transportation and travel assistance to these families in need. We are currently in the process of finding corporate sponsorship to help fund this program.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

January 12, 2009

Each year the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation host the Hero Awards Gala, the most inspirational night of the year. The main purpose of the Gala is to honor the year's greatest heroes and to raise money to grant more wishes. We realize that many people want to attend this unique event but cannot afford the $135 ticket. So we are offering up an incredible opportunity for those who would like to attend.

We are giving away the tickets at cost ($100) until February 15th. And to make the payments easier...we have implemented a $10 a month billing plan for 10 months. It is more important to us to have the heroes come to the event than to make money on higher-priced tickets.

To take advantage of this exclusive offer, go to the Foundation's Credit Card donation page and make an initial payment for $10. Each month your card will be charged only $10. Please put in the "SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS" area that the donation amount is for the "GALA TICKET PLAN" for our account department. We hope to see you at the 2009 Hero Awards Gala!

Tickets are non refundable.
