I'm 50 and recently received the news that I am in end stage liver disease. My life has been lived with no words unspoken and few roads untraveled. Those I love, know I love them and vice verse. I have no regrets and my state of mind is ok with this. I have very little that would be on a so called "Bucket List", but there is something which I wish I had been able to afford and never had done. To commision an artist to do a specific kind of painting for me...
Christopher is a 10 year old who suffers from a mass on his brain. The family travels to specialist from near and far trying to find a cure for their son's condition. These long treks and overnight stays at hospitals for testing are no fun for a spirited 10 year old kid. Through a generous donation, the Foundation is able to purchase a Nintendo DS to make Christopher's boring stays much more entertaining. Thanks to all the Wish Ambassadors that helped make this wish come true.
If you have noticed the membership numbers jumping up by the 100's, that's because we have recently been featured on a few news stations. First, Channel 11 in Arkansas did a wonderful story on the wish: I WISH for a movement monitor for my daughter with grand mal seizures. The wisher's 2 year old daughter suffers from Complex Partial Seizure disorder. When the doctor recommended that she purchase a special baby monitor which cost $600, she didn't know where to turn. That's when the Wish Upon A Hero community came to help. Thanks to Wish Ambassador mum2kaza who help get this wish granted. CLICK HERE TO SEE VIDEO.
