We recently created a new program to raise funds and in-kind donations to grant musical instruments wishes for children. The program is called Strike A Chord. Music can be an important part of a child's education. Developing a child's musical ability should not be hindered by the cost factors associated with an instruments.
A few members who were inspired by the Heroes on Wish Upon A Hero wanted to contribute to the Strike A Chord Program by writing and producing an original song call "HERO IN YOU". Please listen to this amazing song. Everyone who makes a donation to the Strike A Chord program will be emailed an mp3 version of the donated song.
Don't panic...you're still a STAR! We have updated the STAR system for members to easily identify the different types of user accounts on Wish Upon A Hero. All individuals that orginially had a silver or gold color star have been converted to a Red Star. Now Sliver Stars represent business accounts and all Gold Stars are reserved for organizations. We try to certify as many people a day but the process is time consuming so please be patient... you'll have your star in no time!

We have always referred to the Wish Upon A Hero website as a cross between Random Acts of Kindness and Pay it Forward. It only seemed logical to have the visionary behind the Pay it Forward concept as an honorary board member. Thanks Catherine for inspiring so many people to help others!
Each week the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation uses donation money to grant wishes. Last night LIVE on WishTV we made rhondaking82's wish for her 3 year old son come true. Her son lost his ear earlier this year due to a dog attack. He already needed to wear glasses but without an ear he would need to wear special wrap around sports glasses. Between medical bills, house bills and the Holiday's she needed a hero to get her through. The Walk On Hero Program, directed by Joshua Richards, came to her rescue by donating the money needed for the glasses. The money was raised from the donated AirTran voucher tickets that were given away. Congratulations Nataliesnana who's entry number was drawn. We look forward to seeing pictures of Rhonda's son in his new glasses.
The winner of the $100 Gift Card was sharibaby84. The Pay it Forward $25 Wish Grantors were: midge, boosmommy, mommyof11, jkneelee, and mommy2fivekidz.
