My son, Elijah, age 7, suffers from severe intractable epilepsy. We are running low on options for treatment at our local Children's hospital, and have contacted a specialist, (Dr. Orrin Devinsky) at NYU who is hopeful and willing to take our case. We need $5,000 for the out-of-pocket medical expenses and the travel to NYC from Seattle, and lodging while we are there!
He has been through steroid and hormone treatments, brain surgeries, the ketogenic diet, and has a VNS implant, (like a pace-maker, but for the brain), and he is still having 100+ small, but brain damaging seizures a day...
 

My brother Bruce is 10 years old and is handicap. My dad had a heart attack 2 years ago in April. Bruce weighs alot with it all being dead weight. We fear that he is going to be dropped and injured of worse in the tub. Insurance will not help out with the cost of a tub lift.

I was a little hesitant to ask for a wish at first, because I have rarely had to ask anyone for anything before. But I thought maybe someone out there could help me to again enjoy something I used to enjoy doing, bike riding, before my disability.

Currently we have an amazing wish in the process of being granted. It will be our most amazing wish grant to date. One of our members is in need of a kidney and there are currently multiple HEROES who have offered to help. You can view the wish and follow our inspirational heroes as they try to save a persons life.

I got the paper in the mail from the lawyers office over the weekend and we owe 2339.22 and we are in default of our loan with our house and to bring it current it is due by May 9th, 2009.

4/08, my 14 month old grand daughter was brutally killed by my daughters boyfriend, while she was at work. The trial is scheduled to begin 5/11/09.
I desperately need to be there at the trial for in support of my daughter, my deceased grand daughter and my own sanity.
 

This is a very special wish for my oldest son. He will be turning 17 on April 28th. My great grandfather used to be a choir conductor and wished all his life for one of his children or grandchildren to learn any musical instruments, unfortunately, no one did. I remember myself trying to learn the piano but I didnt complete all the lessons due to my parents financial condition.
