About Me

I am Schmetterling. I'm a Texan gal, stuck in Germany. I am the mom of four beautiful children, three living sons and one sweet baby girl who passed away.

I come here mostly because of her. She didn't get to live long enough to make the impact on the world that she should have, so I am picking up that task for her. Everything I do here is in her memory and her honor.

I am spiritual but not particularly religious. Many have said I'm here to do God's work, but I'm really not. I don't believe it is up to Him to fix everything. We have to take care of each other, and as my favorite quote says "Be the miracle."

I like to grant card wishes. I have boxes and boxes of cards all over my house just for card wishes.
I also like granting wishes for medical id's. That's sort of "my thing" right now.
I don't like to grant wishes for cash or gift cards except under certain circumstances. I'd much rather just pay for something or buy something and have it shipped. One of the perks of granting wishes is that I get to play personal shopper from time to time and I really like that. Especially if I get to play personal shopper for little girls. I don't get to shop in the pink section often, so I like the chance to do it for wishers here when I can.

I do come and go from this site occasionally. I have ptsd, bipolar, an inoperable pituitary tumor, and a disability in my hand...plus I just had an unexpected hysterectomy...and well sometimes I just have to check out for awhile and take care of me. If I ever offer you anything and you DON'T get it, please let me know. Oh...and if you DO get it, let me know that, too! :)
